Meatball Parmigiana sandwich with marinara

How we make it

How We Make Our Meatball Parm

The hero is fresh all-beef meatballs, marinara and mozzarella cheese. The pasta plate is a fresh meatball over homemade marinara with fresh basil and shaved Parmesan, on spaghetti or penne with two garlic knots. Meatballs also top the Ricotta & Meatballs pizza, and meatball parm is a sub choice in the #14 Whole Sub & Soda Can combo.

All-beef meatballs can turn dense. The home trick is bread soaked in milk (a panade), which holds moisture inside as they cook; mix gently and only until combined. For a hero, halve the meatballs so they stay put, then add marinara and mozzarella and bake until melted.
